Chairlift is proud to announce that their new album Moth has been released today on Columbia Records.

Their third album to date, which Pitchfork has praised as their “…best and smoothest long-player statement”, is available both physically and digitally. Named one of Billboard’s “Albums To Get You Amped for 2016”, Moth is an openhearted pop influenced album that has been entrancing new listeners while delighting longtime fans.

The ten song album, featuring cover art by Rebecca Bird, includes much-lauded single “Ch-Ching” as well as the catchy follow up track “Romeo,” both of which were named Best New Music by Pitchfork and are in rotation on SiriusXMU. The album also contains the emotional track “Crying In Public” which premiered to positive reception on Rookie as well as “Moth to the Flame” which debuted on Beats 1 with Zane Lowe as a World Record.

Fans can tune into SiriusXMU and for the full hour Chairlift will share songs from their new album, along with some of the music that inspired the making of the album. Airtimes include January 22nd at 10:00 am and 4:00 pm EST, 9:00 am and 3:00 pm EST on January 23rd and 6:00 pm EST on January 24th.

An evolution from their last album, 2012’s SomethingMoth proves to be an emotionally uninhibited and markedly stronger, more pop inspired body of work. A very New York City inspired album, listeners can expect to be led through an aural mix of big, rich pop inspired hooks, vibrating bass, lively brass and sensuous R&B inspired vocals, all anchored in the duo’s meticulously crafted instrumentation.

“There’s a new confidence, even swagger, in blown-out pop songs like ‘Ch-Ching’ … still, there’s a human softness to Moth, with hints of Sade in certain smooth melodies and saxophone lines.”

– The New York Times

“Resounding yet ethereal…. melodic, hook-driven, and exceedingly danceable.”

– Village Voice

“[Moth] is the sound of artists who know themselves and how to execute a specific musical vision.”

– The Verge
