Ariel Arbisser has dropped her latest single “On My Knees,” out today!

This is the latest track released from her upcoming sophomore album “Ingenue Corrupt”, due to be released in early 2024.

“On My Knees” works together with her previous single release “Bred For This”, to offer a further message from her album. It is a smooth, pop jazz track with beautiful, soaring vocals and a hint of swing rhythm too.

The refrain has Spanish style guitar flourishes, leading to a key change and finishing with strong vocals from Arbisser. This is another stand out single release.

The lyrics however hold a darker tale of overcoming trauma and abuse in past relationship. Arbisser describes it as “a slow, sexy, playful, empowering journey.”

Some of the songs I’m most proud of creating have related to my awakening to the patriarchal system in which we live and my efforts to reclaim my power, my space, and my dreams. I’d like to believe some women out there relate or are inspired by that redemption journey. It feels like with each performance our repertoire becomes more badass, more liberating, and more feminist – and I love that. My shows are queer love, feminist, empowering, hopefully, safe spaces for all. So I feel a responsibility to keep and build on that.

The call to embrace oneself and sexuality as a gateway to new worlds resonates with a broader narrative of self-discovery and empowerment. Ariel’s music becomes not just a form of entertainment but a way for individuals to connect with their own stories, struggles, and triumphs.

Her description of the songwriting process as a journey towards reclaiming power, space, and dreams, positions her as an artist with a purpose beyond mere entertainment. Her live performances, touted as “queer love, feminist, empowering, and safe spaces for all,” emphasize a sense of responsibility to foster inclusivity and empowerment through her art.

“On My Knees” is another strong, passionate and energizing song. With her band, Arbisser takes what she calls dramatic electro pop to the next level.

The track was written by Ariel Arbisser, Andy Adelewitz and Michael Caporizzo, mixed by Chris Ploss at Sunwood Recording and mastered by Steve Goldman at Four Legs Records.

I fell in love with music when I first picked up a guitar at age 8. When I played, my friends and family would smile and spill with joy over the music I played, even though it was never Grammy quality. While my music career never made it past high school, my love for music never waivered. I loved the feeling of bringing a smile to someone's face through music and wanted to keep that passion going. So, I took it upon myself to continue to support and promote artists by writing about their music. This way, I can support my personal passion for music and bring entertain and joy to others through music.  Outside my love for music, I do enjoy a good hike and being in the outdoors. My favorite place that I've hiked is in Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. I love to travel too. I've been to Costa Rica, Vancouver, BC, and England, but the best place by far is Germany on Oktoberfest. I liken that experience to being in New Orleans on Mardi Gras. I like a good book now and then, but I'm more of a streaming fiend. I live for crime docuseries on Netflix, veterinary shows on National Geographic, and re-watching Scrubs on Hulu.
