Americana songwriting duo Eb & Hal win best album of the year at the 35th annual New Mexico Music Awards

Long time friends and songwriting duo Eb & Hal have won Best Album of the Year at the 35th New Mexico Music Awards for their album On My Way Home

They received 6 total nominations and also won Best Mastering Engineer (Andy Rogulich). To date, the duo have earned 12 nominations total at the New Mexico Music Awards since they reunited 4 years ago. For a full list of their awards and nominations, click here.

Their latest Americana 13 track album, On My Way Home, is currently available on all streaming services and for purchase on their website.

On My Way Home  was  written during Covid-19 when most of the planet was suffering. Our songs became about love, hope, gratitude and conversely the loss of our loved ones,” says Eb & Hal. “This album is full of our heart and soul and brings music that makes you feel, think, dance and smile. We are so honored to be recognized by this prestigious organization.”

On My Way Home was produced by Eb Lottimer, Hal Howren, David McRae, and Anna Darrah, recorded and mixed by David McRae, mastered by Andy Rogulich at High Fidelity Mastering, features lead vocals and guitars by Eb Lottimer, lead vocals and guitars by Hal Howren, vocals by Anna Darrah and David McRae, vocals on “Bob & Flo” by Kristen Loree, drums and percussion by John Bartlett, stand up and electric and fretless bass by Milo Jaramilla, cello by Lisa Donald, violin by Carla Kountoupes, piano by Andrew Tumason, and rhythm guitar by Aiden Ellsworth, and was recorded at Third Eye Studios and In Your Ear Studios, with additional recording by Paul Bruski. Eb and Hal grew up together in Richmond, Virginia. During middle school they started a band called The Troubadors, playing gigs throughout their high school days. In 1970, Eb moved to Santa Cruz, California to study at UCSC, while Hal left for the mountains, studying at Virginia Tech and Virginia Commonwealth University. They went to opposite coasts, but they took their guitars. Their two albums From There to Here and On My Way Home are available for physical purchase and digital download on the website below.
