‘Tears Will Set You Free’ is the new single by Italian born, London based singer-songwriter, Alice Pisano. Co-written by acclaimed folk-pop artist Benjamin Francis Leftwich, and produced by Troy Miller (Emeli Sandé, Jamie Cullum), the track is Alice’s first original single since her independent debut EP ‘Celebrate Life’ came out in 2019, amassing 3 million Spotify streams.
The new release signals a poppier turn in Alice’s material whilst retaining the warm charm that she has fast become known for. Introducing brighter instrumentation, ‘Tears Will Set You Free’ delivers powerful crescendos, heartfelt lyricism, and another gorgeous vocal performance that will continue to mark Alice out as a young artist with natural talent in abundance.
Speaking on the track Alice said: “It’s a song about accepting and embracing the dark times. I feel that crying is often seen as a sign of weakness, but for me letting go to my emotions is very cathartic and the fastest way to move on”.
Alice Pisano had one of the brightest entrances to the scene with her heartwarming debut EP ‘Celebrate Life’. Released with no label or backing, ‘Celebrate Life’ picked up support from BBC Radio London, BBC Introducing, National Dutch Radio NPO Radio 2, as well as numerous online tastemakers (including Atwood Magazine) and high profile Spotify playlists (New Music Friday UK, Soft Pop Hits, Mellow Morning, etc).
