If there was ever an artist that is poised for International success it is Tia Gostelow. Tia’s debut album “Thick Skin” was released in Australia and New Zealand on her own label Lovely Records. It was Triple J feature album and took out the Queensland Music Awards ‘Album of the Year award. It also features the hit single “Strangers” which is about to click over 9 million streams to date.
Tia’s career is building momentum Internationally with her signing booking agency deals in the US with Paradigm and Europe with ATC. She has also signed a recording deal for the world outside of Australia and New Zealand with Anti Fragile Music and a co-management deal with legendary US manager Tom Sarig.
Growing up in the regional Queensland town of Mackay Tia was isolated from a traditional music scene. She has since made the big move to Brisbane and has been wholeheartedly embraced by the thriving local music community.
Psycho narrates the singer’s own experiences with gaslighting in relationships. Featuring jangly guitars, infectious melodies and warm vocals, “Psycho” is a relatable anthem for our generation.
She confides, “I constantly thought I was the issue, that everything was my fault and I kept apologizing for things that I later realised weren’t my fault at all. I feel like when you are in these circumstances, sometimes it feels like you’re going insane, I felt like I was turning into this psycho person and it seemed like nobody else saw where I was coming from.”
Tia has garnered support from the likes of CLASH, Earmilk and Triple J, as well as having toured Europe and played major festivals in Australia, supporting the likes of Gomez, Frightened Rabbit, Lewis Capaldi, The Rubens, Ball Park Music and Boy & Bear. TIA GOSTELOW has received over 15 million Spotify streams to date.
20-year-old Tia is currently putting the finishing touches on her second album with acclaimed producer Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy, Alex Lahey) that is scheduled for release in early 2020. Her most recent single “Get To It” shows a new confidence in groove which is a sign post of what is to come and is also her most successful US single to date with additions to some massive playlists.
