Be prepared to get on your feet and get to the dance floor, because BOY2K just released their first EP, B2K.
The duo’s debut EP is a collection of modernized electro-pop covers of popular Y2K songs, including “Waiting For Tonight” (JLO), “Touch It” (Monifah), and “Days Go By” (Dirty Vegas). The EP is meant to celebrate love, queerness, and self-acceptance through music everyone can have fun with and dance to.
“B2K is a fun, nostalgic time capsule that pays tribute to some of our favorite dance music from the turn-of-the-century. This collection of songs has played a formative role both in our friendship and this new adventure we’re embarking on together. We’re on a mission to make what we call “Music for the People” – dance music for everyone and a dance floor where everyone feels free to love themselves, love each other and heal this crazy world!” – BOY2K
B2K certainly is “for the people” – it’s an open invitation for everyone to come together and heal on the dance floor. This first project from BOY2K is also the building block for future originals and remixes, which will be released in early 2023. The duo hopes their music will bring people together to empower each other and overcome the hardships of life.
B2K is available to stream and download on all digital platforms. Also, be sure to keep up with the duo by following their Instagram @boy2kmusic.
