Growing up in a large, lively Filipino-Polish-American household, the six-piece—whose name comes from the first initial of its members’ names from youngest to oldest: Jared, Angelique, Gabriel, Manjo, Alyssa and CJ—discovered the shared power of their talents and bright personalities as a unit and began bringing their vision as a musical group to life, delivering music with the power to resonate in every corner of the globe.

Combining their love for pop, dance music, hip-hop, and rap, JAGMAC’s explosive, upbeat songs are impossible to categorize as any single genre. Instead, the group’s music is connected by a simple mission: to spread positivity.

Are you finding the isolation of the pandemic conductive to your writing or is it hindering the experiences you can write about?

During these extremely challenging times, we found that the pandemic actually helped our writing process and fine tune our JAGMAC sound. Instead of just taking a break we worked harder to write and create more content. Now we are happy to say that we have a complete body of work that we are so proud of and excited to release in the next few months.

What is one message you would give to your fans?

One message we would give our fans is one of hope and love. There is so much uncertainty in the world right now and people battling different struggles every day. We just want to tell our fans that there is still love in this world, but it starts with each of us. And if we can share that love with others using the skills that God has given us then that inspires hope which inspires change in all of our hearts.

In your opinion, how do artists in this industry stay on top of the game when faced with so much competition? What’s the secret to making yourself noticed?

There is so much competition in the music industry. However, there is no one in the world like you. So if you stay true to yourself and put out content that is most authentic to you in a way that no one else is doing it, then you are sure to be recognized!

If we were to look at the artists you are listening to, who would be on your playlist?

There are so many artists and musicians that inspire us It would be impossible to name them all! But for each one of us collectively I would definitely have to say Maluma, Jon Bellion, Adam Melchor, Pink Sweats, Token, and Doja Cat.

How do you go about writing a song? Do you have a melody in your head and then write the other music for it?

When we’re in the recording studio we always start the session with a prayer. That way everything can be blessed and we are all on the same page. From there we give the producer a few sounds and concepts musically that we’re looking for and then we start humming and writing lyrics that come to our mind first. It’s definitely an art and with six minds working together it makes it go so much easier!

If you could pass on a nugget of wisdom to the next musical generation, what would it be?

If there’s anything we could give to the next musical generation it would be to keep making music that makes you happy. If you’re happy doing what you love and it’s genuine then others will gravitate to that as well and you will leave your mark as an artist for years to come.

What is the most useless talent you have?

Surprisingly almost all of us can burp the ABCs!

If JAGMAC were to write an autobiography, what would the title be?
I think a cool name for an autobiography would be The JAGMAC Journey. We have so many stories and experiences to share throughout all the years we have been doing music together as a family. To be honest you probably couldn’t fit it all in one book. You would need six editions!

If you could ask your future self one question, what would it be?

The question would definitely have to be:  Was change this crazy dream worth it?” And the answer would be: Most definitely!!!

Which are cooler, dinosaurs or dragons?

We like dragons! But our sister Angelique says Dino nuggets for the win.

What movie ending really frustrated you? And how would you change it?

Titanic most definitely. There was room for Jack on the door! Also Lion King. Why did Mufasa have to die?!

JAGMAC has released their new single, “We Found Love,” via Unitas Entertainment / ONErpm. The bright, effervescent track captures the feeling of falling in love and was inspired by the beauty and lifestyle of Miami.

Co-written with 3-time Grammy nominated songwriter Lord Afrixana (Beyoncé, Pharrell Williams) and produced by Mike Molina (Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne, Fifth Harmony, Jennifer Lopez), “We Found Love” creates an unforgettable atmosphere leaving listeners enchanted with its infectious pop hook and rhythmic, uplifting melodies.
