Getting to know Arielle

What was the last TV series you watched on TV?

The last TV series I watched was Nickelodeon’s “Victorious”! I’ve been loving this show for years now, and the main character Tori has inspired me through her singing, acting and even going through high school. It shows me that nothing is impossible and you can never dream too big!

If you could ask your future self one question, what would it be?

I would ask my future self, “Did you make mom and dad proud?” because my main goal has always been to make my parents proud. They are the whole reason I got into music in the first place and I’m so thankful for their love and support.

If you could learn any language fluently what would it be?

If I could learn any language fluently, I would want to learn Tagalog which is the main language from the Philippines where my parents are from! I want to learn how to speak Tagalog so I can communicate with my relatives there because not many of them know how to speak English that well.

What’s you favorite board game?

My favorite board game would be monopoly! I love to play this board game with my family and friends, and I have so many memories playing with it!

If you were talking to a younger version of you, what advice would you give yourself?

I would tell my younger self to not be afraid. As I was growing up around my pre-teen years (10-12), I would always be shy especially when it comes to my singing. My confidence level was always low but now that I am 14, I know now that I shouldn’t be afraid of what anyone else has to say. As long as I am being myself, I will be okay 🙂

What first got you into music?

What first got me into music was my dad’s side of the family, they are musically inclined and at a very young age, my dad always taught me how to play a few instruments and eventually taught me how to sing.

Who inspired you to make music?

What first inspired me to make music were the situations me and/or my relatives have gone through, for example my very first original song “Without You” was written about my late grandfather. I found out that music was a way to express how I was feeling at the time.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

I would absolutely love to collaborate with Alicia Keys, she is one of my biggest idols of all time and she sings and plays the piano, just like I do. Also many people have told me I have a similar R&B husky kind of voice just like hers.

What is one message you would give to your fans?

One message I’d give to my fans is to follow my quote, “Everything is possible if you work hard and never give up on your dreams. DREAM BIG!”

What’s next for you?

I just released my original song, “Just A Dream” on all streaming platforms and I’m looking forward to releasing the music video very soon! Lately, I have also been on set for an upcoming feature film and a TV series which will release next year on major streaming services!

What do you enjoy most about being an artist?

As an artist, it’s my goal to have people connect with my songs and hopefully, they can relate to them just the way I do. I want people to feel inspired by my songs and performances!

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Writer’s block can be the most frustrating thing for songwriters, but to deal with it, I usually just let myself relax for a while. Instead of writing the song, I would dive deep into my thoughts and just think of how I feel about the song I’m writing. I would journal about it and turn some of those sentences into lyrics.
