A snowstorm in the South—on New Year’s Eve—is a perfect recipe for a catastrophe. After two soul-crushing bad breaks, Kirk’s waiting for disaster number three to strike when, naturally, two stray cats arrive on his doorstep during the storm and decide to make themselves at home. Tenderhearted Kirk lets them stay even though there’s something decidedly odd about his overly friendly felines.Out of the punishing weather and full of tuna, Dolf and Tal are happy to be snug in Kirk’s house. But then their human goes outside for firewood and suffers a nasty fall that leaves him unconscious. Now the two cats have no choice but to reveal themselves.Kirk wakes up to find the two kitties are actually Dolf and Tal. They’re cat shifters—and his destined mates. Being part of a feline threesome is enough for Kirk to grapple with, but soon he learns they come from a clowder that doesn’t believe humans and shifters should mix. Kirk knew those two cats would be trouble. Little does he know the real trouble lies ahead.

Independent reviewer for Divine Magazine, I was gifted my ebook copy to review.

After two things went drastically wrong for Kirk, 2 cats turning up on his doorstep in a massive snow storm had to be the third. Dolf and Tal are feline shifters, domestic cats. They scented Kirk a while ago but needed
time before they approached him. The storm is a purrfect opportunity for the two male shifters to meet their human third.

Not everyone is happy though, and the three face long seated prejudices.

Cute, real, real cute, is the best way I can describe this!!

I've not come across domestic cat shifters, so, being different that was good. I've also not read anything by MA Church before, and I do love coming across new to me authors.

Dolf and Tal are already mated, have been for 30 years, so coming across a mate scent was...unexpected, to say the least. That the scent belongs to a human, even more so. But cats in Dolf and Tal's clowder know better than to question their Goddess and Her motives. Kirk is, well, Kirk, really! He takes quickly to these two cats that are sheltering from the storm. That he gave them names, surprising. That they then shifted into two of the most gorgeous men he had ever seen...mind bending!!

I love that Kirk took in all in his stride. I love that Dolf and Tal were open and honest with him, right from the start, even as Tal started the mating process earlier than he should have.

BUT!!

What made this book for me, I mean absolutely made it shine, was there was none, for all three, NONE of that instalove that usually comes with shifters. Mating processes that need to be adhered to, yes. BUT none of them had that slam of a love feeling. It grew. As the three spent time together, both in and out of bed, their relationship grew into more than just a physical reaction to the process. Oh they get there, all three admit their love towards the end, but it just wasn't instant. Loved that!

Seemed a lot shorter than the 224 pages billed on Amazon, but thats not a bad thing. I just read fast and I read faster if I am enjoying it.

Also, loved the descriptions of Dolf and Tal as cats. As a cat owner, I could see it perfectly! So funny in places.

4 cute and furry stars.
