About the Author
Lane Hayes is grateful to finally be doing what she loves best. Writing full time! It's no secret Lane loves a good romance novel. An avid reader from an early age, she has always been drawn to a well-told love story with beautifully written characters. These days she prefers the leading roles to both be men. Lane discovered the M/M genre a few years ago and was instantly hooked. Her debut novel, Better Than Good, was a 2013 Rainbow Awards Finalist and her third in the Better Than Stories, Better Than Friends, received an Honorable Mention in the 2014 Rainbow Awards. Lane loves red wine, chocolate and travel, in no particular order (on second thought, maybe wine first). She resides in Southern California with her amazing husband and a regal old yellow Lab in an almost empty nest.

Great audio book
I 'read' this book via audio book. The audio is narrated by Michael Ferraiuolo who did a sterling job!

THE STORY - this story brings together a star athlete (soccer) and an interior designer. It's a great pairing. I loved Luke, adored his friend Brandon, liked his mum Mara, and saw the appeal of Michael. The story is told from Luke's point of view and is a slow build of the relationship between him and his celebrity client, Michael. It's an exploration into Luke and the way he falls head over heels for Michael but tries to pretend he's okay with a short lived romance. There were no huge drama, rather a gentle story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

THE NARRATION - I believe the story was particularly well suited to narration. Maybe it was the first person POV and the fact it was told solely from Luke's point of view? Anyway, I love the voicing of the narrator and the accents. He chararacterised each of the MC's very clearly and I LOVED Michael's sexy accent, and when he wasn't speaking English? Couldn't understand a work but drool-worthy.

I would highly recommend this book on audio. Now I'm looking forward to book 2.
