About the Author
M/M Erotic Romance author Morticia Knight enjoys hot stories of men loving men forever after. They can be men in uniform, Doms and subs, rock stars or bikers - but they're all searching for the one (or two!) who was meant only for them. When not indulging in her passion for books, she loves the outdoors, film and music. Once upon a time she was the singer in an indie rock band that toured the West Coast and charted on U.S. college radio. She is currently working on more installments of Sin City Uniforms and The Hampton Road Club, as well as the follow-up to Bryan and Aubrey's story from Rockin' the Alternative.

The Fear of Surrender (Hampton Road Club #3)
Overall

4.5
The Fear of Surrender is book 3 in the Hampton Road Club series. Set in the 1920’s being gay was against the law, Hampton Road is a secret, private male BDSM Club.

Linus doesn’t want to go back to the club after nearly being raped by a former Master in the BDSM Club. He is terrified that all Masters are like him, he has feelings for Master Thomas but doesn’t want to be alone with him.
Thomas is a Dom, he blames himself for not speaking up and claim Linus as his sub before he is frightened away from the club.

I found Linus’s character very shy yet sweet, he seems very innocent and afraid of his own shadow. Thomas is a Dom through and through, he is very alpha in his ways.

Compared to the other other books in the series this is very sweet, it shows how difficult it can be to trust and love another person. I think the author did a fantastic job in making this book and the characters come to life. I am fascinated with the BDSM from the 1920’s, it is very primitive to what is used today.
I did enjoy the piercing scene, it was really loving and showed that Linus trusted his master fully….

Overall a great addition to a fantastic series...
