In fact, bee products are major resources for several different industries. For example, raw honey, beeswax, and bee pollen are all significant products that businesses sell worldwide for various purposes. To learn more about the different types of bee products and their uses, continue reading our blog below.

Raw Honey

The most recognizable bee product that businesses use is raw, unfiltered honey. However, make no mistake. Raw honey is not the same as standard honey. While manufacturers pasteurize and filter conventional honey, raw honey does not undergo either process.

The pasteurization process often depletes natural honey of its antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. Therefore, raw honey contains far more health benefits than a standard container of store-bought honey.

While there are many misconceptions about raw honey, this product is healthier and also somehow even more delicious than standard honey.

How Businesses Use Raw Honey

Several different industries use bulk honey for their businesses. However, food and beverage businesses are among the most common companies to order bulk amounts of this potent ingredient.

Additionally, since honey is an ideal combination of healthy and sweet flavors, restaurants and cafés commonly use this ingredient in health-conscious recipes.

Because honey has natural anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-inflammatory properties, various other industries also use this product. For example, cosmetic and health businesses utilize raw honey as an essential product to boost customers’ health.

Beeswax

Beeswax is another commonly used bee product. While companies typically use raw honey as a flavor additive, beeswax instead acts as a thickening agent. Further, beeswax contains anti-inflammatory properties, which make it ideal for soothing and healing products.

How Businesses Use Beeswax

The cosmetic industry mainly uses beeswax in products like lip balms, lotions, and masks. The hydrating and thick texture of beeswax makes it optimal for intense repair for hair and skin products.

Companies also sometimes use beeswax in food and beverage recipes to stiffen other ingredients in a formula. While not as common as honey, beeswax is still a major resource in many different industries.

Bee Pollen

Most people don’t even realize that bee pollen is a marketable and highly potent product. However, bee pollen is valuable to many businesses. It’s a combination of nectar, honey, pollen, and bee saliva. As it exists in smaller grains, this product is full of nutrition.

How Businesses Use Bee Pollen

Home remedy businesses and apothecaries predominantly use bee pollen as a natural medicine product. While there’s no proof, many people believe that the natural antioxidants and vitamins inside bee pollen are beneficial for the immune and digestive systems. Some customers even ingest bee pollen to relieve their allergy symptoms.

Over the past decade, the use of bee pollen in different industries has continued to grow. So, although this product may seem strange, it’s becoming more and more common in the market.

We hope our guide to the different types of bee products and their uses has been a beneficial resource for understanding these products better. While industries may use honey, beeswax, and bee pollen in various ways, these products are essential to businesses worldwide. Consider how your business can use some of these bee products to benefit your customers.
