THIRDS (Book 10)
About the Author
Charlie Cochet is an author by day and artist by night. Always quick to succumb to the whispers of her wayward muse, no star is out of reach when following her passion. From adventurous agents and sexy shifters, to society gentlemen and hardboiled detectives, there’s bound to be plenty of mischief for her heroes to find themselves in, and plenty of romance, too!
Currently residing in Central Florida, Charlie is at the beck and call of a rascally Doxiepoo bent on world domination. When she isn’t writing, she can usually be found reading, drawing, or watching movies. She runs on coffee, thrives on music, and loves to hear from readers.

When THIRDS agent Dexter J. Daley met Team Leader Sloane Brodie, he couldn’t have imagined how slamming into his new partner—literally—would shake both their worlds. Now four years later, they’ve faced dangers, fought battles both personal and professional… and fallen deeply in love. Now their big moment is finally in sight, and they’re ready to stand up together and make it official. Unfortunately, as the countdown to their big day begins, an enemy declares war on the THIRDS….
With their family in danger, Dex and Sloane are put to the test on how far into darkness they’ll walk to save those they love. As secrets are unearthed, a deadly betrayal is revealed, and Dex and Sloane must call on their Destructive Delta family for one last hurrah to put an end to the secret organization responsible for so much devastation.
Dex and Sloane will have plenty of bullets to dodge on the way to the altar, but with happiness within their grasp, they are determined to get there come hell or high water….
Another Amazing Adventure!
What an insane ride this series has been, and it is so difficult to see it come to a close in its current incarnation! Cochet is one of those authors who keeps you on the edge of your seat through the entire book, even though you know the outcome is eventually going to be a happy one.
Dex and Sloane have fought for their love and their happiness for years, and it finally culminates in the wedding we’ve all been waiting for here in Tried and True. However, being in the THIRDS universe means that the trip to the altar is fraught with upheaval, danger, and one turn to a most shocking individual for assistance.
Written in third person and bouncing between Dex and Sloane’s point of view, we are once again taken to the streets of New York, THIRDS style. The goal is marriage, but there is also training required if the team is going to make it in TIN, and there are no punches pulled. Rife with visualization, energy, and emotion, the plot wanders all over the pages in twists and turns that you totally expected, you never expected, and some that will simply stagger you.
Character development remains a forte in this series. At no point in the series does the reader feel any stagnation in how this cast moves forward, and that doesn’t just apply to the main characters. This is true for every single character in the story. Relationships are strong and interconnected, and the characters’ adaptations through time are, as well.
The love between Dex and Sloane continues to be a beautiful part of the narrative. After years together, it’s nice to see romance, like impromptu dancing in the kitchen, in addition to the sexual chemistry that continues to set the pages afire.
By the time they actually make it to the wedding, you’re all set for smiles and tears (and by that, I mean you, the reader, though there are plenty in the book, as well). However, even their most special day wouldn’t be complete without chaos, and there is plenty to be had.
This book is five solid stars of I LOVE IT!!! I simply cannot recommend this entire series highly enough. Maintaining an insane energy level through ten books is a feat, and one done successfully in the THIRDS world. Read them in their entirety (and in order, as each builds upon the previous books), and prepare to be blown away. You’ll wonder why you waited so long to pick up the series!
