About the Author
Nic Starr lives in Australia where she tries to squeeze as much into her busy life as possible. Balancing the demands of a corporate career with raising a family and writing can be challenging but she wouldn’t give it up for the world.

Always a reader, the lure of m/m romance was strong and she devoured hundreds of wonderful m/m romance books before eventually realising she had some stories of her own that needed to be told!

When not writing or reading, she loves to spend time with her family–an understanding husband and two beautiful daughters–and is often found indulging in her love of cooking and planning her dream home in the country.

You can find Nic on FacebookTwitter and her blog. She’d love it if you stopped by to say hi.

Christmas novellas are one of my favourite reads at this time of year. They are usually happy, light reads with satisfying HEA's that leave a smile on your face and put you in the mood for the festive season. The Proof is in the Pudding by Nic Starr fits that category perfectly, with the added bonus of being set in Australia, so we get a taste of what a hot Aussie Christmas is like as well.

Steve Hayes has recently broken up with his cheating boyfriend and is looking for a partner who wants more than just a fling. His friends decide to spend Christmas together at a cabin in the mountains and he can't wait to join them. Their families are either too far away, or one one case, estranged due to their rejection of their gay son, so getting away together is the perfect solution. Determined to have a fun Christmas, and enjoy his week away, Steve is ready to go all out. He has his mum's Christmas pudding recipe and, despite never having cooked it before, Steve is confident he can make it work; after all, what could go wrong?

Marinating and preparing ingredients in the sweltering kitchen Steve is surprised, but very happy, to see Corey Oh arrive. Corey is Steve's not so secret crush and he couldn't be happier at the thought of spending a week in the mountains with this sizzling hot data analyst. Steve feels out of his depth with Corey but that doesn't stop him lusting after the gorgeous, kind, funny and, in Steve's eyes, perfect man.

With lots of fun activities, such as mountain bike riding in the surrounding bushland, the guys enjoy each others company, typical Aussie BBQ's, cold beers and laughs. When a pudding disaster leaves Steve needing someone to take care of him, Corey is quick to lend a hand, and sparks fly as they are forced to share a room whilst Steve recovers.

The Proof is in the Pudding is a quick, satisfying and enjoyable light read. A very Australian bush Christmas with a HEA that will leave a smile on your face. A great addition to your festive reading list.
