In a time where artists can write music about literally anything, Mrs. Henry did just that. The 1st act in a three-part rock opera is a heroic journey traveling through space, time and different universes. The storyline alone is enough for a blockbuster movie. From the beautiful ballads to the heavy rock, Keep On Rising – Act I: The Sex Sells, Love Drugs, Rock N Roll Society has something for music fans of all genres. The variety of sounds are fun and exciting, with songs like “Back in the Beginning… a Kid At Heart” and “We Are A Rock N Roll Band” that are guaranteed to make your classic rock playlists.
The album’s lead single is “I Don’t Want To Let You Go” which bassist and the track’s lead vocalist, Blake Dean candidly describes as, “one of the more challenging riffs I’ve ever had to play and one of the weirdest cadences and onslaught of syllables and words I’ve ever had to sing. So on top of all of that together, it’s like the most wild soup that’s ever been eaten… in space… backwards.”
A wild bowl of soup is almost the perfect way to describe this project as it is warm, tasteful, and can be enjoyed all year round. The combination of Daniel Cervantes, Blake Dean, Chad Lee, and Jody Bagley brings a refreshing and unique sound to rock in what will be a continued storyline as we wait for Acts 2 and 3. This musical adventure surely leaves the listeners excited enough to keep on rising!
