Dynamic Australian pop singer Lark has released the music video for her latest single titled “11:11.”
As part of a creative art project drawing inspiration from widespread 80s and 90s romance novels, the music video centers on Lark’s romantic daydream with a man she encounters in the park. Opening with Lark reading the 1994 romance novel Dark Victory by popular British writer Elizabeth Oldfield, a harp glissando can be heard signaling the beginning of her upbeat track and her reverie. Produced by Jono Fernandez (who has remixed for Grammy-nominated artists Sia and Morgan Page), the 80s-inspired dance pop track emanates a light-hearted tone with playful lyrics. The music video captures intimate and sensual scenes of Lark and the man dancing and enjoying a picnic. In a humorous and mischievous take, there is also a scene where Lark paints the man nude, which brings attention to how far her amusing fantasy has gone. By the end of the music video, Lark comes back to reality with the man in the park also reading the same romance book.
