He’s reached well over a million total streams with more than 75k monthly listeners on Spotify alone.
Moreno’s honest sound and sincere delivery connects with fans on a personal level. At its core, the country-pop songster’s music is a genuine reflection of his real life experiences and down-to-earth personality.
Getting to know Chris
What was the last TV series you watched on TV?
I don’t watch a lot of TV these days but I recently watched all of “Kingdom (MMA) on Netflix and loved it. Fun fact, I’m obsessed with The Sopranos & have watched all seasons multiple times.
Which are cooler? Dinosaurs or Dragons?
Learning about the Dinosaurs was my favorite part of elementary school.
If you were talking to a younger version of you, what advice would you give yourself?
Don’t doubt yourself. As you get older you’ll see that you’re just as capable of great things as anyone else, you just have to take action on your goals and you’ll eventually get where you want to go.
What’s your favourite children’s story?

I can’t remember my favorite book but I must have watched “The Never Ending Story” a hundred times. It was hands down my favorite.
Tell us what your ideal partner might look like if you could order one from ‘Partners R Us’.
First & foremost someone who’s trustworthy. I like being around people who speak their mind and mean what they say and if you’re gonna date me, there’s an increased level of trust that’s gotta be there given the musician lifestyle, so communication is key. Someone with a big heart who cares about people & values family. Someone who’s smart but is also curious and wants to learn new things and see new places. Lastly, someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously, you gotta be able to laugh at things in life.
Where have you performed? What are your favourite and least favourite venues? Do you have any upcoming shows?
I’ve performed over 500 shows in over 20 different states! I love performing for my hometown crowds back in Boston, and also places like Chicago, Indiana & the Carolinas. I’m currently playing some acoustic shows here and there and plan to hit the ground running when things open back up.
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
I often joke that I sound like Matchbox 20 meets new country and I think it’s pretty accurate. I actually prefer not to label my music and let others do that for me but I’m very influenced by ’90s/ 2000’s Pop/ Rock as well as a modern country so I think it creates a unique hybrid sound.
What would you be doing right now if it weren’t for your music career?
I actually had an advertising sales job for 10 years before I quit to go full time with the music! Currently very happy that I changed paths 🙂
What are your musical plans for the next 12 months or so?
I am planning to release at least 5 singles this year and possibly an EP. With the recent success I’ve been having on Spotify and reaching the milestone of a million total streams, I’m looking to continue the momentum and really give my fans a lot of music this year.
Would you have any advice for would-be artists or songwriters wanting to follow in your footsteps?
Be different and be vulnerable. People crave authenticity so double down on whatever it is that makes you unique as an artist and try to resist watering down your sound for others. At the same time though always strive to improve and become the best version of yourself. Also, appreciate every fan. You’ll need their support to make it in this business and it’s probably the most rewarding part because you’ll meet some amazing people if you open up to them and let them in.
