Hard-rock band High Street have slowed it down from their usual high-octane sound with their new single, “Light of Hope.” The sullen guitar and melodic bass paired with Noxigen’s chill-inducing vocals are reminiscent of the alt-rock wave in the 90s. The subtle nod to the cutting edge genre that defined a decade is done with such finesse and care, you forget the year is 2021.
This is the band’s final single before they drop their EP, Revival, on December 10th. If these singles are any indication of what to expect from the EP, fans are in for a treat. Since August, High Street has been leaving bread crumbs for us to consume while waiting for this record and now that our appetites are ravenous, Revival can’t come soon enough.
“Light of Hope” is now available to stream and download everywhere. And stay tuned for the EP when it drops next month, just in time for Christmas—what a gift!
